mafi, an Austrian company, specializes in crafting three-layer wooden planks suitable for flooring, walls, or ceilings. Their signature touch is the use of natural oils to finish their floors. Unlike conventional lacquers that create a sealed surface, mafi's oil penetrates the wood, safeguarding it from within. This unique approach allows the wood to breathe, aiding in regulating indoor climate and enhancing air quality. Additionally, mafi's natural oil finish is free from harmful solvents.

It's worth noting that all the wood utilized in mafi's flooring hails from Austria, sourced within a mere 12 kilometers (8 miles) of their factory.

As confirmed by Mafi's product-specific Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), these products fulfill HML's requirements for low embodied carbon.
